Less English, more JavaScript

I haven’t written much for my website this year. It wasn’t an accident. I wasn’t too busy. It was a choice. My new year’s resolution for 2012 was to write less English and more JavaScript.

Three quarters of the year is now gone and I feel like I’ve satisfied that resolution with 11 new JavaScript repositories on Github. Most of the work was driven by the development of the Maria framework for writing MVC-style browser application. That particular project has been great fun and satisfying.

Now I feel as through I should tell the world about these projects … but part of me just wants to continue writing more JavaScript.

Hi Peter,

Great to see you posting again. I found your blog through a link to your article on transitioning from java classes to JS prototypes a few months back. To this day, this is my favourite piece on OOP in JS. Since then I’ve been reading your blog retrospectively (I don’t do that very often, so to say!) and it not only made me a much better JS developer, but also made me want to be one in the first place!

So, just wanted to say thank you. Please keep on posting.

Konstantin
